As to priorities for 2007, here are some of mine (not all of these are
necessarily tasks for the Council, but most are):

- Advance core Jingle specs to Draft status (Q1)

- Hold 2nd and 3rd XMPP interop events (Q1 and Q3)

- Establish secure online environment for XMPP interop testing (Q1/Q2)

- Complete revisions to the XMPP RFCs and advance them to Draft Standard
in the IETF (Q2/Q3)

- Complete development of "ESessions" end-to-end encryption technology
for XMPP (Q3/Q4) -- may be a dependency for RFC advancement...

- Complete development of robust technologies for spam prevention on the
XMPP network (Q3/Q4) -- we don't have spam yet, but it's coming...

- Deploy ubiquitous channel encryption on open XMPP network (Q4)
