updated their registry, which was the last sticking point for 
advancement of XEP-0174.

Version 0.16 of XEP-0174 (Link-Local Messaging) has been released.

Abstract: This document describes how to establish XMPP-like 
communications over local networks using zero-configuration networking.

Changelog: Updated the definition of port.p2pj TXT record so that it is 
not hardcoded to 5298 but instead tracks the port advertised via SRV; 
updated the IANA considerations to reflect acceptance of the proposed 
registration change by the maintainers of the 
http://www.dns-sd.org/ServiceTypes.html website. (psa)
