There are some standardized representations of groups, I believe -  
the trouble is, there's more than one.

That's fine, but I think the document needs to be clear it's a field  
with a locally defined value.

Oh, is this meant to be an LDAP URL, or a search filter, or a DN? Or  
doesn't that matter?
