Cooool
I love it when someone shows me I'm not up to speed!
Thanks for the info. I'll be doing my homework now!

You can "socksify" jabberd. Our test server uses Dante
(http://www.inet.no/dante/). Configure the socks software to
route local
addresses directly, and external ones (or just the external
addresses you
want going to the firewall) through your socks server. This
works very well
for ICQ and Yahoo. We haven't any users that use AIM, so we
haven't taken
the time to test that.

Cheers, Eric

I'm running a jabber server behind a firewall/proxy server. Is
anyone aware
of a way to make the transports go out of the firewall?
Someway to put the
proxy server settings into the <service> section of the
transports? If I
can get AIM and ICQ to go out from here, then I can eliminate two of the
chat programs people here use. If not, is there any intention of adding
this in the future?
