I compiled Jabber-1.4 on SCO OpenServer, compiled
and installed OpenSSL-0.96. Jabber works well on 5222 port.
I use WinJab. But trying to connect through 5223 port (ssl)
I got an error.
Sun Mar 11 19:28:37 2001 mio.c:368 _mio_accept calling accept on fd #7
Sun Mar 11 19:28:37 2001 mio_ssl.c:165 SSL accepting socket with new

Sun Mar 11 19:28:37 2001 mio_ssl.c:174 Error from SSL:

nc(0):reason(0)
Sun Mar 11 19:28:37 2001 mio_ssl.c:175 SSL Error in SSL_accept call

I have dll's for openssl, run recommended script
## This generates the cert and key
$OPENSSL req -new -x509 -newkey rsa:1024 -keyout privkey.pem -out key.pem
## This will remove the passphrase
$OPENSSL rsa -in privkey.pem -out privkey.pem
## Put it all together
cat privkey.pem >> key.pem
## Cleanup
rm privkey.pem

But nothing helped.

Running openssl s_client -connect host:port -debug -state
I got:
CONNECTED(00000003)
SSL_connect:before/connect initialization
write to 08142B40 [08152000] (130 bytes => -1 (0xFFFFFFFF))
SSL_connect:error in SSLv2/v3 write client hello B
write:errno=108
