Yes, I got that resolved, thank you. I had misread the commenting in the
xml files.

I now have all processes running, per log below,

But attempts to connect fail ...

Wed Aug 3 23:53:01 2005 [notice] starting up
Wed Aug 3 23:53:01 2005 [info] process id is 21713, written to
/usr/local/var/j
abberd/pid/c2s.pid
Wed Aug 3 23:53:01 2005 [notice] initialised auth module 'mysql'
Wed Aug 3 23:53:01 2005 [notice] [localhost] configured; realm=(null)
Wed Aug 3 23:53:01 2005 [notice] attempting connection to router at
127.0.0.1,

Wed Aug 3 23:53:01 2005 [notice] connection to router established
Wed Aug 3 23:53:01 2005 [notice] [0.0.0.0, port=5222] listening for
connections
Wed Aug 3 23:53:01 2005 [notice] ready for connections
Wed Aug 3 23:53:38 2005 [notice] [7] [127.0.0.1, port=35365] connect
Wed Aug 3 23:53:38 2005 [notice] [7] [127.0.0.1, port=35365] disconnect
Thu Aug 4 11:38:40 2005 [notice] [7] [192.168.100.166, port=1271] connect
Thu Aug 4 11:38:40 2005 [notice] [7] [192.168.100.166, port=1271]
disconnect

The first attempt (127.0.0.1) was via a SSH tunnel, the second
(192.168.100.166) was across the network.

Clues would be much appreciated!

Julian.
