[jadmin] Jabber client and port 5686

I hope this is not the wrong list to post this question to since it may be a
client issue and not a server issue but I wonder if anyone has seen this
problem before.  

I am using a Jabber client that shows the following error when I start it:

"No internet connection was detected.  Please confirm that your firewall
permits traffic on port 5686."

This has happened with an active internet connection and port 5686 open in
the MS firewall.

Why would a Jabber client be using port 5686?
