Folks,

I just set up jabberd2. Everything appears to be working (so far) except for
authorization requests to and from another jabber user.

I am using Sourcemage (Gentoo like, but in bash), jabberd 2.0s11, mysql 5.0.16

I am using mysql for authentication. I am running via "jabber -D &" so i can
watch the gigabytes of messages fly by in hopes of seeing something
significant. :)

I can add myself locally to the jabber server, but i have not tried that
remotely. I added a friend [his-user]@gmail.com. It sends out an
authorization request for me to see him, but he never gets it. I never get a
request to allow him to view my status. So we appear to be offline to each
other.

To be honest, i'm not sure where i should look first. However, i am seeing
things like the following when i send a authorization request to and from:

SM : sx (io.c:369) queueing for write: <route
xmlns='http://jabberd.jabberstudio.org/ns/component/1.0'
from='jabber.feline-soul.net' to='gmail.com'><presence xmlns='jabber:client'
from='bearcat at jabber.feline-soul.net' to='chris.kcat at gmail.com'
type='subscribed'/></route>

ROUT: sx (io.c:369) queueing for write: <route
xmlns='http://jabberd.jabberstudio.org/ns/component/1.0'
to='jabber.feline-soul.net' from='s2s'><presence xmlns='jabber:client'
type='error' to='bearcat at jabber.feline-soul.net'
from='chris.kcat at gmail.com'><error code='503'
type='cancel'><service-unavailable
xmlns='urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-stanzas'/></error></presence></route>

S2S : sx (io.c:369) queueing for write: <route
xmlns='http://jabberd.jabberstudio.org/ns/component/1.0' from='s2s'
to='jabber.feline-soul.net'><presence xmlns='jabber:client'
from='chris.kcat at gmail.com' to='bearcat at jabber.feline-soul.net/Kopete'
type='error'><error type='cancel' code='503'><service-unavailable
xmlns='urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-stanzas'/></error></presence></route>

I am using kopete, but i have tried a few other clients as well.

I am happy to provide any of my config files etc, but i don't want to flood
with a lot of useless stuff. What do you folks need to help me solve this?

If i can get this working, the other IMs listed in my signature will disappear
and there will be only one: Jabber.

Thank you,
