Olá Rodrigo,

Ejabberd is not based on java, the erlang port install java, but, you
can go to lang/erlang-lite and install it, it doesn't depend of JAVA,
X11, iodbc... After install this port you can install ejabberd without
all this stuffs :-)

I'm using ejabberd here and it's really great, AFAIK, jabber.org
migrate them servers from jabber-1.4.x to ejabberd.
