I wasn't quite sure how implementation specific these protocols are, but your 
answers are very clear about this.
Yes I will need some special extensions, but of course they should also be 
able to run on different servers. So thanks for your off list contact offer, 
but I'm sure I won't need it.
I will try to figure out more about how to write extensions, and if I'am stuck 
anywhere I will come back to this list. (I hope this is ok).
