[jadmin] Hi, some simple questions, hopefully.

Good Afternoon

I would like to use the open-source Jabber software to implement an IM
service internal to the company I work for.

I'm not entirely sure where to start, to be honest. I presume we'd need a
Jabber Server of some kind, however, all I can find are public-use ones -
I'd like to install one internally so it's for internal use only.
To help matters along, I have NO budget for this, it's just something that
if I can, I would like to implement for my users.

My questions are:

What server software do I need? (I can implement any Windows Server, but am
not familiar with Linux unfortunately).
What Client software would I need? (All clients are running Win XP).

Many thanks, appreciate any help that is available.

Rgds
