This is usually a DNS issue. Make sure you have the appropriate SRV
and/or host records for your conference sub domain. This is what the
other server will try to connect to.

Subject: [jadmin] Jabberd 1.4.4: Providing conferencing as a service

Hello,

I have managed to successfully get an instance of Jabberd running and
along with this I have an instance of MU-Conference running as a
separate process and communicating via TCP.

I am, however, unable to join the conference room hosted on server a
from server b, no matter how I try to configure the servers I still can
not join the conference room with the user on server b. I the instant
messaging between servers is working fine though, can any one help me?

Thanks

Steve.
