[jadmin] Problems with /announce /announce/online etc

I gave up on Exodus as an administrator an started using Psi.  It has
announcements, online users and MOTD built into an admin menu.

Hey everyone,

I'm brand new to this whole Jabber2 server thing, however I'm 
impressed with it sofar.

My only question at this point is, I'm using Exodus as a client, and 
when I hit F5 and type in servername/announce  it works

but if I add the servername/announce as a contact (to make it easier 
to send to) it always sits in pending and the messages don't seem to go out
?

can anyone shed some light on this ?
