Hi Guys,
I've been trying with a couple friends for a few days to see if we can
get proxy65 working.
before we go any furthur I thought I should ask if anyone else has
successfully gotten it working.
Scenario is:
Jabberd2, on Gentoo, running inside my LAN.
Clients INTERNAL to the LAN can file transfer no problem.
Clients OUTSIDE the lan transferring to other clients OUTSIDE the lan
does not work
Clients INSIDE the lan transferring to other clients OUTSIDE the lan
does not work.
The firewall has port 5223 forwarded to the NAT jabber server on the
LAN. That is it.
I'm not sure if it's my mktap line, or if it's just because of all the
NAT issues involved in this. I've gotten proxy65 working before on
other servers, but they were without NAT.
I noticed that in the instructions for jabberd14 it says to "create a
dns address that is accessible from inside the lan, and outside". This
seems kinda "ghetto" to me, and thusly
I have not tried this ono my setup yet. Anyone know if these are the
"defacto" instructions for j14 and j2?
Any info would be much appreciated, of course if I get it working I'll
be posting instructions back :)
