I could be wrong but I think it is worse than that.  I am assuming that
the original foo.bar.com no longer exists.  I believe each user is
tied to the id with something like user at foo.bar.com.  Each persons
buddy list would have to be edited to reflect the change.  I used
a different method to avoid that hassle.  In the client of each user
the user would still be user at foo.bar.com so you can keep all the same
IDs and spool but use the "connect with" option in order to specify
foo.bat.bar.com for the server address.  Some clients don't have that
option but I know that Exodus, Psi and Gaim have it.
