[jadmin] change password

Hello,
I am using Jabber1.4 on red hat linux 9 .
I have successfully setup the server referring to the
www.vanemery.com/Linux/jabber/jabberd.html
I have used their methods like jabadd  to add user and could successfully
chat among the intranet.
But i am still not able to get the New user registration method and password
change through the client window
and unable to get enable conferencing.
In attempting to all this i get only error in client window but didnt get
anything in the /var/log/jabberd/error.log @ server side
and error is of unknown type. with code (400).

Please help regarding this to me.
