That tutorial is written for the obsolete AIM/ICQ-Transport. You better use 
the Py*transports instead because they are better, easier, and maintained. 
Having said that, that tutorial should also work for jabberd2. You just need 
to convert step 3.6 and 3.7 to the specific jabberd2 instructions.

PS: It is ejabberd, spelled with a "d" at the end.
