jabberd14 != jabberd2, jabberd2 is a complete other design/project as
jabberd14. And ATM I believe that jabberd14 is more actively developed than
jabberd2. So, moving to jabberd2 would be no upgrade but a migration.

You can try to upgrade to a more recent version of jabberd14 (I think 1.4.4 is
the latest release), or youn try to migrate to another server:
