[jadmin] 2.1.4 - PGSQL 8.x only?

I tried to set up Jabberd2.1.4 on my server, but when I ./configure it 
said me,
that it needs some package. I googled and it seems that required package is
included with PGSql 8.x... Is it possible to run Jd 2.1.4 with PGSQL 7.x?
