Lars,
Yes we see your message. :-)
I have seen this error before in the make process. I solved it with redownloading the file from a different source. Possibly a bad build.

Mike

Subject: [jadmin] [Fwd: Problem building jabber-1.4.1]
Hi.
Ive bought this book called "Programming Jabber". There is a step by
step chapter, on how to set up a simple standard server, using version
1.4.1 (I want to use this version, because rest of the book is based on
this version). Well i downloaded the jabber-1.4.1.tar.gz (this version
should include all things needed to run the server), unpacked it and ran
the configure script. After wards, when i try to build it typing make,
the last lines in the process says:
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/jabber/jabber-1.4.1/jsm/modules'
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/local/jabber/jabber-1.4.1/jsm'
gcc -g -Wall -fPIC -I. -I..
-I/usr/local/jabber/jabber-1.4.1/jabberd/pth-1.3.7 -I../jabberd/ -c
-o deliver.o deliver.c
gcc -g -Wall -fPIC -I. -I..
-I/usr/local/jabber/jabber-1.4.1/jabberd/pth-1.3.7 -I../jabberd/ -c
-o jsm.o jsm.c
gcc -g -Wall -fPIC -I. -I..
-I/usr/local/jabber/jabber-1.4.1/jabberd/pth-1.3.7 -I../jabberd/ -c
-o modules.o modules.c
modules.c: In function ‘js_mapi_call’:
modules.c:160: error: label at end of compound statement
make[2]: *** [modules.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/jabber/jabber-1.4.1/jsm'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/jabber/jabber-1.4.1/jsm'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
If i ignore these errors, and continue the instructions in the book,
which tells me to execute ./jabberd/jabberd, it says that the file
doesent exists. So it seems like the jabberd file is not created during
the build process?
Ive tried to download pth and install it, but that did nothing.
I really hope someone sees this, and can help.
Thank you for your time.
Regards,
Lars
