Well you do not need the msgid (at least not for jabberd 1.4.4). You can
just make the jid index non-unique.

The problem has been fixed in the examples of all newer version of
jabberd14. But as the table example in jabberd 1.4.4 is only meant to be
an example and not part of the server, there has been no bugfix release
of jabberd 1.4.4.

The latest release of jabberd14 is jabberd14 1.6.1.1, which is available
at http://download.jabberd.org/jabberd14/.
