Ok .. I simply created the file manually in the home dir, and it seems to
be found.
Now I did this:
jabber at ds4044:~/ejabberd-1.1.3$ erl -sname ejabberd -mnesia
extra_db_nodes "['ejabberd at ds3811.flosoft.info']" -s mnesia
Erlang (BEAM) emulator version 5.5.2 [source] [async-threads:0]
[kernel-poll:false]
Eshell V5.5.2 (abort with ^G)
(ejabberd at ds4044)1>
=ERROR REPORT==== 8-Jun-2007::19:06:31 ===
** System NOT running to use fully qualified hostnames **
** Hostname ds3811.flosoft.info is illegal **
=ERROR REPORT==== 8-Jun-2007::19:06:31 ===

This has been run on the secondary server (ds4044.flosoft.info) with as
first server ds3811.flosoft.info. The mnesia nodes ID's are correct, as
that is how they are setup (full hostname). What did I do wrong? I started
eJabberd on the first server via the script which was created by the
installer (./bin/start.sh)
