Also this problem has been solved. with this transport i had to register without @yahoo.com. Everything is running fine now.

Norman, Ok, it seems to do the trick. Yahoo transport is running. Now i have another problem: I have created two accounts at yahoo. I use one of them for the transport. Within my jabber client i could register with the transport and i received no errors. I couldn't use the transport so i enabled <dumpProtocol/>in the config.xml. This is a part of it (added some ***): got reg login fail:  badusernamerecv ('YMSG', 786432, 10, 2001, -1, 2097152) {0: {66: '1014'}} 30DEBUG: socket       sent  <iq to="user2 at im-test.****.com/Exodus" from="yahoo.jabber-cm1" id="jcl_42" type="error">  <query xmlns="jabber:iq:register">  <username>oliver_bril at yahoo.com</username>  <password>****</password>  </query>  <error code="406" type="cancel">  <not-acceptable xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-stanzas" />  <text xmlns="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:xmpp-stanzas">The recipient or server understands the request but is refusing to process it because it does not meet criteria defined by the recipient or server.</text>  </error>  </iq>Port 5050 is open towards the internet in my firewall. Norman,You are right I use python 5.2.1 (stupid typo).I think you are probably right about xmpppy, protocol.py is 1.54. Will try the cvs version of the librairy. Will come back to let everybody know if this solved the problem.Thanx. Regards,Oliver

I have searched the internet and all kinds of mailing lists but the only answer I can find is that I have to install xmpppy. I already had this library installed but I keep getting the same error. I use python 5.2.1. Also have dnspython-1.5.0 installed.Look in xmpp/protocol.py, it should be at least version 1.57 (shown directly after the header in the file)You probably have 0.3 xmpppy installed, but from that error you're running the CVS version of the transport.
