Hi guys and gals,

I'm kind of new to XMPP techniques and I'm a person who only learns by
"doing it my self" so:

I did a example PubSub service that publishes all the BBC World News
as they are published by BBC. There are 2 ways to subscribe to the
service:

1) add bbc-news at xmpp.lobstermonster.org to your XMPP roster
 OR
2) find "bbc_news" -node at pubsub.xmpp.lobstermonster.org and do the
needed PubSub subscriptions

The first option is more user friendly since you just need to add the
contact to you roster, and when you want to unsubscribe, you just
remove the bbc-news -users from your contacts. And this feature should
be provided by almost all the XMPP clients rather than easy to use
PubSub -functionalism.

The other difference in this service is that when a new item is
published to the node, user bbc-news at xmpp.lobstermonster.org will send
you the item also as "clear message". This is done so that the service
is usable even with gMail's client.

I also wrote a small story about it on my web site:
http://www.lobstermonster.org/post/xmpp-pubsub-service-to-publish-bbc-world-news

If you have any ideas how the service could work better, don't
hesitate to yell out loud!

Cheers,
