And surely if you were to proxy between SIP and XMPP you would use SIP 
protocols on the SIP side and XMPP on the XMPP side and the proxy would 
translate between the protocols like our IM network transports work, and 
surely as long as RTP is used by both and the codecs match there isnt any 
problem with the actual voice data side of it, or am I thinking of it in too 
simple terms?
