You forgot one: groupchat.
These are used to distinguish messages from a chat room and from the
participants since the occupants share the same bare jid.
Personally, I would like to see the type attribute be extensible. I
think the RFCs hard code what the allowable types are eliminating any
future new types. I'm sure we could come up with uses for new types.
