Let the iq:private storage system notify them that the content of the
storage had changed.
Todays Operating Systems do that. They inform applications that the file
contents had changed (ex. Linux i-notify, dnotify). It's up to the
application to decide if they want to update their state (if they have
the file open) or not.
There is no need for nit-picking like "look the n-th byte of the y file
had changed".
