[Standards] Jingle update

FYI, as part of the process of making sure that the Jingle specs are
truly ready for advancement to Draft, the following efforts are underway:

1. I am working on some specs that describe how to use Jingle as the
method for negotiating additional session types. Right now I'm working
on file transfer (re-using the <file/> element from XEP-0096 for easy
migration) and shared XML editing (swapping in Jingle for the method
Joonas Govenius outlined in his whiteboarding and shared XML editing
proposals). I plan to soon complete first drafts of specs for these
applications. This will help us make sure that the Jingle semantics can
be used for applications other than voice and video.

2. I am actively poking implementors (including our friends at Google)
to make sure that the specs for voice and video sessions are complete
and accurate.

3. I will release version -01 of draft-saintandre-sip-xmpp-media (with
the addition of mappings in the direction from SIP to Jingle) to make
sure that interworking between Jingle and SIP can realistically be
achieved in gateways.

So that we can complete these efforts before the XMPP Council votes on
the core Jingle specs, the Last Call period is being extended until
Friday, February 22 (the Council will most likely vote during its
in-person meeting at the XMPP devcon in Brussels).

Thanks.

Peter
