Kevin Smith.

Quorum achieved.

1. Agenda bashing

None.

2. XEP-0174: Serverless Messaging

Proposed action: Approve version 1.3rc2?

Changelog: Corrected TXT record format in conformance with
draft-cheshire-dnsext-dns-sd; clarified a number of issues related to
DNS-SD and Multicast DNS; as an optimization, recommended sending of
disco#info data in stream features; removed reference to Encrypted
Sessions specification from the security considerations.

Discussion: Dave raised some questions about the TXT record data format.
Peter to ping the DNS-SD authors, Dave and Ralph to do some testing of
real-world deployments.

3. XEP-0084: User Avatar

Proposed action: Approve version 1.1rc1?

Changelog: For consistency with other PEP payload formats, changed stop
semantics to use an empty element rather than a child element.

All Council members voted +1 in the meeting, Peter to publish updated
version.

4. Other business

Reminder that Last Calls end 2008-11-07. Peter to ping several people

standards@ list regarding feedback he received offlist.

Somewhat lengthy discussion regarding ways to involve XSF members (and
others) in the standardization process, for example by soliciting expert
reviews or establishing review teams. To be discussed further at the
next meeting.
