Not that there is any sort of written contract, but I get the feeling
that we want to stick with Drupal for more than one reason.  Besides
it having all the functionality we'd ever need, it has the benefit of
being a "friendly project" in that there are some Drupal coders which
are into Jabber.  I see this as being analogous to people networking,
but for OSS projects if that makes any sense.  Because of this I think
you'd have an uphill battle to get others to support anything else.
