This is a different thing. Indeed, we need consensus on our mission
statement and culture building. I was saying that we don't need a
leader *after* we have this, at least that is my experience from other
projects :-)

I know ralphm doesn't likes this kind of centralisation; it was he
that made me thinking when he said he likes decentralisation when I
asked him some time ago about this planned project B-)

If we make a website targeted at contributors, people will not put
"wrong" information on the website. If people decide jabber.org should
start competing with other Jabber projects websites, I'm sure you will
skip out a lot of contributors to this website (including me) because
in fact it means you start competing with the projects they
contributed to before. After some time, you will have few contributors
to this website, and I predict in the end it will die, just like the
previous attempts, causing some guy has to do again all the work
semi-alone ;-P
Anyway, if all people here believe I am totally wrong, just go ahead.
But it's obviously that that will be without me; I don't plan to
compete with myself on a website targeting end users and admins...I'm
already doing this on other projects :o)

I don't like that either; I want some very organic project targeted at
contributors, something like the Linux Foundation, but with the
standards part.
