I discussed this today on jabber at conference.jabber.org, and I thought
I'd toss it out here for any feedback you good folks may have.

I've been trying to think of something substantive I can contribute to
the web site relaunch, since my Drupal-foo doesn't seem to be needed.
(That's code for "you guys are already doing a good job".) Today I came
up with the idea that I might write a couple of pages/essays on the
social aspects of jabber. I'd like to do something about the users who
get lost or who give up because they don't know the etiquette, or where
to go and how to ask for help.

Topic ideas:

IM and MUC user etiquette (ask before you pm, don't solicit personal
information from strangers, etc)

Rooms to start in: jabber at conference.jabber.org and similar
channels in other languages.

Thoughts on running a MUC room (advice on choosing moderators, when
and how to manage difficult or disruptive users, etc)

I hope to draft these, then put them through a few iterations of review
and edit on the mailing list before posting.

Any thoughts?

Susan
