Well, I could live with that decision. I think it's probably still  
worth having them in the system though, because a user of (e.g.)  
GTalk might want to compare the clients available to them, and for a  
lot of people the GTalk client is probably the preferable way. I  
don't feel strongly, but I think it could be useful; we could even  
have a 'enter your server' and have it list the clients that'll work  
(one day).
