I agree with this mostly.  But I'm a monoglot so my vote shouldn't
count for much.  Icons are good, obscure text is bad.  But you know
what also looks good?  The language name--in its native tongue and

P.S. We used to have the flags up there.  I actually don't know when
they disappeared, I need to look into that.  :)
