(One of) The reason this thread came about is that http://jabber.org
is currently very broken. I fixed it yesterday with some dirty hacks,
but then disabled those when it was thought that the issue had been
fixed.

Shall I re-enable my hacks? The other option is that someone is able
to fix this issue properly in the very near time.

I don't much care whether it's our inability to admin Drupal
effectively, Drupal, or Drupal's plugins which make jabber.org broken,
but I don't think we can keep with the current situation.

That leaves our options as "Use something else", or "get more people
who are able/willing to make Drupal work".
