So that brings up a broader issue: the IM service list itself:

Clearly we need to make updates to this list a higher priority. Florian
and Tobias, what do you think? Shall we add services to the list after
completing the initial info-check? It seems to me that uptime monitoring
doesn't have much uptime itself, so I don't want to block services from
being added to the list until the day we have monitoring working well.
