POST COVID-19 BULK SUPPLIES UNDER "THE PROJECT RE-BUILD IRAQ"
Following the declaration of the end of the deadly Covid-19 pandemic with its different variants by World Health Organization(WHO) on 05-05-2023, we are forced and mandated to upgrade our Healthcare facilities/hospital equipment's as we have out stretched our healthcare capacity to it's limit during the last 3 years of the Covid-19 pandemic and as such the need to re-enforce existing health facilities at this post Covid-19 era in Iraq; at this critical time the Iraqi government is not leaving any stone unturned and at the same time taking this opportunity and time in upgrading, safe guarding, equipping and preventing any future repeat occurrences of any new variant outbreak hence the reason to providing timely pro-active solutions to combat it, the consensus effort been made at this critical period in revamping the health sector has lead the World Bank and the Iraqi government at this post Covid-19 era to establish and initiate the Private Sector Development Trust Fund(PSDTF) for Iraq, this trust fund is to be utilized to encourage job growth and additional investment with precise emphasis in the re-organization, re-building and re-equipping of the health sector in Iraq under the new initiative by name "THE PROJECT RE-BUILD IRAQ". Its pertinent to note that a Multi-Donor trust fund was established specifically for funding of this Private Sector Development Trust Fund (PSDTF) with an initial funding of US$750m for capacity re-building, re-organization, re-construction, re-engineering and re-equipping of the Health sector of Iraq, with an additional funding of an extra US$850m from The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to broaden the scope and focus of support for the Private Sector Development Trust Fund (PSDTF) for more developmental projects to kick off with special and specific emphasis again on the health sector with a final disbursement date of 30th October, 2024.

In this light, i have been seconded from my position as the registrar at the Technical College of Management, Middle Technical University, Baghdad - Iraq, to the Iraq Reconstruction Management Office(IRMO) as the new Team Lead of the newly created Emergency Procurement Unit, my team and i have have been mandated by our government to partner with The Private Sector Development Center, Iraq(PSDC-Iraq) with a renewed mandate to solicit, evaluate, advise and recommend reputable foreign and local Iraqi companies to work as partners in "THE PROJECT RE-BUILD IRAQ" initiative.
