Some points that are missing are listed in the code of conduct in the contributor covenant that jonas' posted.
https://www.contributor-covenant.org/version/2/1/code_of_conduct/
for example age or caste.
another good example is https://lgbtq.technology/coc.html
some points that are not mentioned in the current CoC are:
- pronouns
- harassment.
- No debating the rights and lived experiences of marginalized people in the community.
I find this particular rule problematic for various reasons.
What determines whether someone is marginalized or not?
For example, I can claim I'm marginalized because I'm part of an
ethnic minority living in the global South.
Does this mean my rights and lived experience are not up for
debate?
As a marginalized person, what rights do I have that
non-marginalized people don't have?
Can we debate the rights and "lived experiences" of
non-marginalized people?
If so, why are their experiences up for debate, but not others? If
not, then this rule doesn't make sense.
Debate and discussion are means for people to figure things out,
to develop a nuanced understanding of things, and it helps people
to think and form their thoughts.
An argument could be made that such a debate is off-topic for XSF
events and rooms, and should be taken elsewhere, and I'd be 100%
on-board with that, but that's a different argument.
