Hey all,
I read the XEP mostly from top-to-bottom. First impressions - it's
overly complex. Second impressions, the changes make it more so.
I spoke with Yann because Gajim already implements it, and he was
largely behind the changes. He seems happy with it, and I haven't
begun implementing it, so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the
doubt for now.
So since I'm unable to point to any single change among those pending
as being at fault then I'm +1 for now. However I think it would be
good to hand this XEP as a whole over to the review team to see if we
can get some of the complexities ironed out. I also hope there will be
some server-side implementation experience this summer that interops
with Gajim so we can get some more real-life feedback.
