IMHO the jury is still out on this one... what I'm really waiting for is
the IMPP working group to start talking about actual protocol issues, and
user address representation will be one of the first hot topics where
this will likely be a vigorous battle :)

In the meantime, I am of the belief that the current user at server scheme
sufficiently covers the needs of Jabber for the next few "beta" releases.
By the time we approach 1.0 there should be a much better understanding of
what the IMPP group will contribute to this.

By the way, in my planning for the mozilla jabber client integration I
have been looking at adding support for a URL/URI wrapper around the
user at server scheme, such as:
	jabber:user at server.com?subject=Hello&say=Testing
based on a similiar structure to the mailto: support.  But this would
primarily be just for web/html integration.
