    FWIW, I'm having a similar issue. I suspect that it's not entirely a
libpth issue, though, because jserver itself runs fine:

    $ ldd icqtransport jserver
            libjabber.so.0 => /usr/local/jabber/lib/libjabber.so.0 (0x28082000)
            libxode.so.0 => /usr/local/jabber/lib/libxode.so.0 (0x2808a000)
            libetherx.so.0 => /usr/local/jabber/lib/libetherx.so.0 (0x280a6000)
            libpth.so.13 => /usr/local/jabber/lib/libpth.so.13 (0x280bd000)
            libc.so.3 => /usr/lib/libc.so.3 (0x280cb000)
            libjabber.so.0 => /usr/local/jabber/lib/libjabber.so.0 (0x2806f000)
            libetherx.so.0 => /usr/local/jabber/lib/libetherx.so.0 (0x28077000)
            libxode.so.0 => /usr/local/jabber/lib/libxode.so.0 (0x2808e000)
            libpth.so.13 => /usr/local/jabber/lib/libpth.so.13 (0x280aa000)
            libssl.so.1 => /usr/local/lib/libssl.so.1 (0x280b8000)
            libcrypto.so.1 => /usr/local/lib/libcrypto.so.1 (0x280e1000)
            librsaref.so.2 => /usr/local/lib/librsaref.so.2 (0x28171000)
            libc.so.3 => /usr/lib/libc.so.3 (0x2817a000)
    $ uname -r -s
    FreeBSD 3.4-RELEASE
    $ icqtransport

    **Pth** SCHEDULER INTERNAL ERROR: no more thread(s) available to schedule!?!?
    Abort (core dumped)

    I'm using the `shrink-wrapped' 0.9 tarball, and the latest icqtransport
from CVS. I'm quite anxious to solve this, and any advice would be

prvilege, and installing into prefices other than "/usr/local" to follow
