[Foundation] 2002 Election Schedule

This does sound great, Ryan, but there is one technicality. The vote for
the Council is supposed to occur during the annual meeting of the
Foundation, which would be in August to coincide with the start of the

Another point, one that's less clear, is again with respect to
nominations. Anyone can petition to become a Member of the Foundation and
this openness might apply to Council Members as well. The notion of
publishing a platform coincides nicely with application for membership in
general and the debate is a nice touch that doesn't seem to conflict with
any of the by-laws.

I don't want to seem like Miss Parliamentarian and am not one to let rules
get in the way of progress but still, the Foundation is a legal
corporation and not just a club. I think if you don't do things in the
defined way then you could open things up to a disgruntled nominee who
could technically challeng the legality of an election.
