I'll volunteer as well, although I do think it would be a good idea to
have some people on the committee who are not client developers.

Thank you Daniel. I personally think that Rival is one of the best
Jabber Clients around so your participation will be very helpful.
 
It would be great to have other client authors on the group; this is
very important for them if they want to be sure that they "agree" on the
compliance test that will be created.

I'd like to volunteer myself for the Compliance group.  

Compliance is something we need more of, in the jabber developing
community. A base set of standard functionality across all clients will
help make jabber a stronger platform. And stop a lot of bugs caused by
non-compliant nodes on the network.
