[Members] FW: [News] JSF: Membership Application Period

I'm also resigning. I never was all that much use to the JSF in
particular in the first place (although I don't think anybody can say I
didn't try), and now that I'm moving to Israel, I'll be spending most
of my time either trying to make a living speed skating, or hanging
out with my new wife. I'll be lucky if I can keep up with my personal
email, so I know I'll have no time to even try anymore in the JSF-related
world, and I'll probably disappear from the Jabber/XMPP world as a whole
(except my own projects, of course).

It's also worth noting that IMHO, virtually all "normal" applications of
the Jabber protocol suite have already been documented in JEPs (without
enough "foundation" JEPs, IMHO, but new JEPs to replace "legacy" ones
will probably appear at some point - it's just a matter of time), so I
don't see much more for me to do at this point, even if I were to stay
(and even if I were to have the time available to make me worth having
around). Basically, I'm just dead weight here. The JSF needs people
on the cutting edge of current protocol development, and I simply no
longer fit that bill, and somehow doubt I'm likely to again anytime soon.

Thanks, guys, for making my time here lots of fun :-)

Bye,
 - Dave

Uncle Cosmo, why do they call this a word processor?
It's simple, Skyler. You've seen what food processors do to food, right?
