For user verification, i.e. while signing in, ok. But not for every
authentication action. 

Ok, you can say we would then have password wizards inside the jabber
clients, but that's simply garbage for authenticating, too. Because i
would then always need to start a jabber client just to verify myself

That jep is good for 1) one-time authentication, and for 2) restriction
checking on a jid level (without proper authentication verification), 
but for nothing more imo ... seriously. 

On the other hand i know that the JEPs are quite good most of the time,
so i am wondering if that JEP really serves just these two, above
mentioned, purposes ...
