If you want something short term rather than working on a proper jabber 
based solution then I would suggest you have Jabber Software Map running off 
of its own user database, I very much doubt you will be able to convince 
enough people for you to be able to use the authreg db, and this HTTP stuff 
is IMO simply silly and a non starter as the only reason you want to do it 
that way is because you want something short term.
