Hi Sean, my concern is more about Google trying to influence Sean ;)

More seriously, I'd be interested to hear voices from some other XMPP
communities outside the X/JSF.

You mention that in some regions Google Talk is a recognized brand. Search
results also give a fair amount of "jabber" under the topic of IM.

I have no personal preference, but I recon that a catchy name usually helps
identifying and promoting a service. Thus the idea of a poll to check if
there is a consensus on a name. I am not familiar with this kind of project,
but it may well be interesting to tie it to another event (conference?). I
don't believe it too difficult to ask around what people think to be a good
name. We may be surprised after all.

P.S. I believe you Sean, don't worry. As to Google and the XMPP community
interests overlap, we happen to have different opinions ;)

Hi Jean-Louis. I understand your concerns that I'm trying to
manipulate the JSF to further Google's own interest at the cost of
everything else. :)

Please believe me that, although my views are obviously biased by my
experiences (as are everyone's on this list), my intentions here are
entirely to benefit the XMPP community, not Google's (with the obvious
exception being that their interests largely overlap). :)
