Putting aside for one minute the fact that marketing isn't a profession, 
here's the opinion of a professional marketing person (me).

The logo's fine.

All logos are fine, providing they are not actively offensive. 
Re-designing logos, re-branding, crafting a 'mission statement' - these 
are all things marketing departments do when they've run out of ideas.

If there's one thing that today's email flood has demonstrated is that 
we're not short of ideas. Or opinions. :-)
