And a self-disproving prophecy, apparently.

You may find a close parallel between it and the FAQ for SLirc, which
I wrote about 12 years ago (!):

http://www.gnu-darwin.org/www001/src/ports/irc/slirc/work/slirc-0.12/FAQ

I thought it was a great idea at the time, but neither I (in the
short time I maintained SLirc) nor Stan, who took it over, could ever
quite bring ourselves to replace it with a "real" FAQ, with, you
know, real questions, that people actually asked.

BUGS is quite amusing, too, as are most of the others.

To be fair, reading back, I wonder if this (my second "instant
messaging" client project, and the first one I'd written from
scratch) laid the pattern. Before this, you know, my documentation
was really quite sensible. Mostly.

(The first client project I worked on what the YAWC CLient, where I
built on from work by MathFox, who's now Groklaw's webmaster, and the
first instant messgaing project at all was YAWC itself.)

Dave.
