Oddly enough, a geek was just asking me if I knew where any Average
Joes hung out, because he was "dying to give them some Average Joe
papers that they might like to read".
And I'm honestly not joking.
However, he was - the point being that although it's true to say "you
can't know" about every attendee at FOSDEM, we similarly cannot know
that they will be charging around to wherever it is Average Joes hang
out. On the other hand, we do know that there will be an excellent
technically literate audience we can usefully encourage into active
participation in the XMPP community, and that's a useful audience to
target and exploit.
